A couple of weeks ago, we told you that iPatch, iPhone & iPod repair specialists out of UK, can have your iPhone 4 modded to boast a glowing Apple logo every time your screen lights up. But, so far, we didn’t see anything from them – except a couple of pictures. Today, we’re here to tell you about iLoja, a Portuguese company that already has the rear panels working, got them on video, and you can get your own ( or pre-order one ) today.
If you are living in Braga or Lisbon, you can walk right into the iLoja stores and get your glowing Apple logo rear panel, right there and then, for 79 Euros VAT included. The company also takes international orders via iLoja site, where you can get your rear panel for the same price + shipping tax.
NOTE: on their site, the panels will be available on 31-10-2011. But you can pre-order one now.
According to iLoja, the process of installing the new back is as simple as it can be, and everybody who can use a screwdriver can do it. If you are unsure how to do it, check out our previous tutorial on how to replace your iPhone4’s glass rear panel with a transparent one.
The glowing Apple logo rear panel will/has/is:
- Increases battery consumption by 1%
- Longevity-guaranteed (powered LEDs).
- Reversible
- Interactivity with all functions (sms, calls, etc …)
Super cool mod for any iPhone 4. Too bad it came so late, with the iPhone 5 just around the corner…
