If you want to bump up to a higher capacity iPhone, you will have to pay Apple $100 for each upgrade. So if you paid $649 for a 16GB iPhone 6s, a 64GB will be $749 and a 128GB will be $849.
But if you’re planning to take a trip to China, you can upgrade your 16GB iPhone to 128GB for only $60 at the Shenzhen market. The process takes around 30 minutes and your device’s internal flash storage will be replaced with a new 128GB chip from Toshiba. Not only that, but they will also transfer all your data to the new chip. However, it goes without saying that this upgrade will completely void your Apple warranty.
