We have been waiting for this for a long time and today Apple finally announced CarPlay. Arriving on select cars in 2014, CarPlay brings the most important iPhone functionality right to your car’s built-in display. The new system comes with built-in Siri support and makes using Apple Maps, the phone, messaging and music a lot more easy.

CarPlay will also support many other iPhone apps and should make using your iPhone in the car safer and a lot more fun. Car manufacturers that will build in CarPlay in 2014, include Ferrari, Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz. BMW, Land Rover, Toyota and many others will follow later on.
