Apple today pushed the second beta of iOS 7.1 to registered developers for testing purposes ( check out all the changed in iOS 7.1 beta 1 here ). The update has a build number of 11D5115d and is available via Apple’s developer center website or OTA ( over-the-air ).
According to the release notes, iOS 7.1 beta 2 fixes several bugs including a bug that caused all tones to sound like the default one. Also, the settings for Touch ID and Passcodes were moved from Settings>General to the main settings menu. The Calendar app has a new list view toggle and the “dark keyboard” ( found in iOS 7.1 beta 1 ) was removed from the accessibility options.
iOS 7.1 beta 2 brings a new “Button Shapes” options that can be turned on to indicate where tappable ares are located on the screen. A new bounce animation and music labels that show the audio source have been added to the Control Center.
As always, jailbreakers should stay away from beta releases. This advice does not apply solely to jailbreakers, but to the majority of users. Stay away from beta releases. They’re usually buggy anyway…
