Apple decided to double the size of applications that can be downloaded over 3G or cellular data to 20 MB, according to PocketGamer. Before, you could download apps from the appstore over 3G only if the size of the app was 10 MB or less or use a WiFi connection or your computer.
Of course for us, the users, this is not such a big difference. But this benefits developers that can do so much more and sleep peacefully at night knowing that their app can be downloaded even by users that for some reason have no idea what a WiFi connection is. This could also mean that Apple is paving the road for the iPad….
