Another new day, another new tweak. This time it’s the turn of ‘View Source For Safari’. I’m sure you’ve seen it in your Cydia ‘changes’ section, maybe you even had a peek only to find out that the iPad is the only supported device. Don’t worry, we got hooked up and today we’re giving you ‘View Source for Safari’ for iPhone.
Over the last few days I’ve been chatting to the developer of the tweak, Árpád Goretity. As it turns out one of the previous builds of the tweak DID actually support the iPhone but for unknown reasons it never made the final cut.
Árpád was kind enough to give us the .deb of the previous build and along with it the permission to distribute it. All you need to do is click the download link here – View Source for Safari – then install via iFile or SSH.
I have tested the package using my iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1.1 and haven’t found any bugs as yet.
For me, this is a very useful package. There have been countless times I have been surfing the web and found a website feature I wish I could replicate only to be thwarted by the lack of tools available to me on my iPhone. Hopefully you’ll like this as much as I do.
Enjoy!
