Well, day 3 has come and gone, and I’m beginning to wonder if this was such a great idea. Maybe if I had never been jailbroken before, I wouldn’t know of the potential the iPhone has. This has been a test in electrical devolution. Like giving a person a steak, then swapping it out for animal feed.
I have missed a couple of deadlines on projects because I forgot to set audible alarms on the calender app, and with out those reminders on my lockscreen, and since Apple says “badges? We don’t need no stinkin’ badges” I’m out of luck. Using To Do’s from the app store now. Very simple to use, and has badges. And I’m kind of OCD about seeing those badges.
I was going to work on some non-Apple apps and couldn’t fake code sign without ldid. So just had to compile and send out the beta and let the testers install and fix the permissions.
I have still been unable to get native tethering working even with the BenM profile and have tried a few other things. But at least it gives me something to work at.
One thing I have noticed, is that battery life is no better without the jailbreak. I’m still gettng about the same usage times. Ram usage seems about the same, but since I don’t have SBsettings, it’s a little harder to keep track of. There are a few apps in the app store for this.I think I have Free Memory, and the iStat one as well. I’ll put one on my device and try to keep track that way.
I still find myself swiping at the dock and status bar. Muscle memory is a hard thing to break. Maybe just a five icon dock Apple? You know the icons fit? I’ve seen it.
