Google has just updated its platform by adding a new service currently available only in the U.S. and English (UK) site. This is “My Location”, a new integration that allows you to be located through Safari and to find a number of public facilities in your vicinity.
If you want to try this feature, enter Google and click on the heading below “Google.com in English”. ( thats the case if you are not living in US or UK ).Now enter “Preferences” and check the latest label “Allow use of device location”, then save. You must be logged in to do this.
FSM EXCLUSIVE DEAL It seems that once you do that, the page will be automatically reloaded and you will end up with a written “Last Location: Unknown.” No need to do is click on “update” and 2 will appear in pop-up which will request permission to use the API on the geo.
In a few seconds will show the name of your country or your city and research will always account for this value. For example, if you look for “Pub” on google, you will find a number of Pubs in the space of a few kilometers from your current position, with lots of phone numbers and driving directions to get there.
As usual, for me it doesent work, because oh well… i live in a country that the big G forgot it exists….
