Did you notice that ever since you’ve updated to OS X El Capitan, there’s a lag when trying typing into Safari’s address bar? It’s pretty annoying but luckily there’s an easy fix.

1. First of all clear Safari’s history by opening Safari and in the menu bar go to History > Clear History
2. From the menu bar, go to Safari > Preferences > Search and uncheck “Preload Top Hit in the background”
That’s it. Now typing into Safari’s address bar will be as snappier as ever
