iOS 4.1 Security Flaw Might Determine Apple To Drop iOS 4.1.1. Save Your SHSH Blobs

Here’s an interesting piece of news about a security flaw in iOS 4.1: When your iPhone is locked with a passcode,  tap Emergency Call, then enter a non-emergency number such as ###. Next tap the call button and immediately hit the lock button. It will open up the Phone.app where you can see all your contacts, call any number, etc.

Because of this security flaw in iOS 4.1 , Apple might drop their next iOS update sooner. iOS 4.2 is scheduled to drop next month, and finally unify all iOS devices, but we might see iOS 4.1.1 in the next couple of days.

A new update will not only fix the security flaw but it may also kill untethered jailbreaks. So, if you are a jailbreaker/unlocker do not update. It the mean-time, save your SHSH files if you didn’t already save them.

We will keep you posted. Stay tuned…
