Users booting their new iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C today will be prompted to install iOS 7.0.1, a minor OS update that will patch a few minor bugs. iOS 7.0.1 was released alongside iOS 7.0, but pushed only today when the new handsets are actually available to the public, and it’s exclusive for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. iOS 7.0.1 is said to address an issue with the new Touch ID sensor found in the iPhone 5S although Apple says that the minor updated just includes ‘bug fixes and improvements’. At the moment it is unknown how iOS 7.0.1 affects the iPhone 5C.
iOS 7.0.1 can be installed as an OTA ( over-the-air ) update.
