iPhone Lock Screen To Do’s

If you’re anything like me, you’ve got stuff to do. Lots of stuff. And you need reminders. Not like tying a string around your finger, but close. Lock ToDo (  from Cydia ) puts your “to do” list right up front on your lockscreen where you need it.

This is a good idea, but the developer needs to spend a little time on description and the usage. What he doesnt say is that you have to activate it with Winterboard (some will be put off by this.) Also, when you first open the app it prompts you to activate, which sends you straight to a paypal site(no one said this cost money). All you need to do is close the app and reboot the phone. Activated, no paypal.

Setting up your “to do’s” is pretty self explanatory, add event, select importance and save. You also manage your “to do’s” from within the app. Deleting takes a second or two to show up. I had to exit the manage screen then back to manage to get the “to do” to delete all the way.

Viewing them on the lockscreen takes a couple of seconds to show up, only showing the blank screen at first. Hopefully this will be sorted out in an update.

This is one of those apps that has a good idea, just needs some polishing up to be great. It doesn’t show any outstanding memory usage, but the lag time is going to be the killer for most.
