With Apple having had a year full of many now-accustomed triumphs, amidst mourning the loss of its legendary frontman Steve Jobs, the multinational corporation now has yet another proud moment to relish. The company’s Senior Vice President of Design, Jonathan Ive, was recently awarded knighthood in his native United Kingdom. Ive’s officially awarded title is that of Knight Commander of the British Empire, leading the way among the 2012 New Year Honours List. The design wizard behind the iPod, iPad, iMac and iPhone continues to add to his already impressive list of accolades, which will surely carry forward throughout the upcoming years.
