MyTones: Create iPhone Ringtones From MP3 Songs In iPod Library

New day, new app in Cydia: MyTones. We told you about MyTones a couple of days ago, but we didn’t have too much info at the time. But right now its available in Cydia, and it’s free. MyTones allows you to create ringtones directly on your iPhone from any song you have stored in your iPod Library.

The operation is extremely simple because all you have to do is to select the song that you want, set an interval of max 30 seconds and tap on “Make Ringtone”. After you set the interval you can even play that 30 seconds portion to make sure it is what you want.  You will find the new ringtone directly into Settings>Sounds.

MyTones is available for free in Cydia via the BigBoss repo.

LATER EDIT:

The app works but it turns out bigboss uploaded it with the wrong permissions to fix it (for now while they update it):

ssh into your iphone and type the following commands into the terminal

  • cd /Applications/MyTones.app/
  • chmod 4755 ./MyTones_
  • chown root ./MyTones_
  • chmod 777 ./Temp/

and it will work if you do not know how to do this then please just wait while bigboss fixes it.Or if you would like an easier fix just add http://i4iphones.info/beta/ to your repos and ownload from there
