Today’s smart locks are cool, but they usually depend on a peripheral like your smartphone. If your smartphone runs our of juice, you still have to use a key which defeats the purpose of a smart lock. Well this trend is about to change thanks to Ola, the first truly keyless smart lock, that takes advantage of the most advanced fingerprint scanning technology. Basically it’s like TouchID for your door.
The unit runs on two AA batteries, with room for extra two batteries for backup, and can last for two years of use. Ola incorporates Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, allowing family or friends to be granted access via a smartphone app or, just like with TouchID, you can register multiple fingerprints.
