Back in 1994, a 16bit Shaq Fu was born. In 2014, Shaquille O’Neal tries to release a sequel by launching an indiegogo campaign for Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, seeking $450,000 to bring the game to life.

In the game you play as Shaquille O’Neal – learn hundreds of moves and battle techniques, take onthousands of enemies with dozens of cool melee weapons, battle bosses in dynamic arenas, master cool finishing moves and play with your buddies in COOP mode or against each other in player vs player combat.

Some of the goals on the indiegogo campaign are a bit of a joke. For a shitload of green you can go to Shaq’s house for launch and a game of pickup basketball in Shaq’s gym which would be amazing.  But here’s where it gets crazy: for $500 Shaq will follow you on Instagram. For $600 you’ll get a personalized voicemail by Shaq. For $750 you’ll get a personalized 20-second YouTube video message. And for $1000 Shaq will follow you on Twitter. Now if Shaq would also retweet one of the backer’s tweets, that should bring a good ROI. But $1k just so Shaq will follow you on Twitter and Instagram, that’s just stupid.
