I am assuming that you all know about Spirit , and i am also assuming that some of you know that the release date will be tomorrow. First of all , let’s clarify what Spirit is:
- Spirit is an untethered jailbreaking tool for all iDevices and works on latest firmware ( 3.1.3 for iPhone/iTouch and 3.2 for iPad )
- Spirit is NOT an unlock tool
- Spirit doesn’t work out of a browser, and has nothing to do with pwn2own
As you can see in the screenshot above, 3rd party devs are working hard, and apps like SBSettings are already up and running on the iPad, and in a perfect world Spirit will be released tomorrow. However an ETA is just an ETA and there are a couple of issues that could delay the release.
FSM EXCLUSIVE DEAL Issues that can delay the release:
- if the GUI doesn’t work with the cmd line tool
- if Saurik isn’t finished with the iPad version of Cydia
- depends on how much stuff is broke with the 3.2 firmware
Bottom line is that everybody is working really hard, and Spirit will be released as soon as possible. Will it be released tomorrow? Don’t get your hopes up…
