The iPhone DevTeam has just released an update to their PwnageTool which allows us to untethered jailbreak iOS 4.3.1. The 4.3.1 untether exploit comes courtesy of Stefan Esser (@i0n1c on twitter), a security researcher based in Germany.

Made it thru day 5, no sweat. Found the easiest way to deal with the stock phone, is to just set it aside, and leave it alone. While at work, there’s no easy way to quickly respond to texts and calls, and my laptop takes care of IM’s.

I made it over the hump, 4 very long days of no jailbreak. Not sure how others that upgrade to quick and lose they jailbreak deal with it. Thankfully I can go back as soon as this experiment is over.

iPhone DevTeam And GeoHot Discussing Exploits For New Baseband
A few weeks ago , we told you that a possible exploit for baseband 5.12.01 was found and unlock might be on its way. And according to a ModMyi thread, we are almost there. In the very near future, baseband 05.12.01 could be unlockable for those of us unfortunate enough to be stuck in this position.
